About Brown & Brown Insurance Brown & Brown is a full service, international insurance brokerage established in 1939. I work at the largest office in the U.S. located in Fort Lauderdale. The primary area in which we offer service is commercial property and casualty. Core coverages range from commercial general liability, commercial auto, commercial property, and workers' compensation to professional liability such as Directors and Officers, Errors and Omissions, and Employment Practices Liability. Although Brown & Brown does have a personal lines department, I would like to represent the Fort Lauderdale office of Brown & Brown strictly in a commercial insurance capacity. Revenue from commercial insurance represents about 90% of the office's overall revenue.
