“Mastering Workplace Happiness”

As an IEA member you can attend for free.

Mastering Workplace Happiness emerged from her Abundance in a Box project.  She describes Abundance in a Box as “capturing what is delicious in your daily life, savouring deeply happy experiences, and finding a way to monetize them before paying that positive energy forward.” Abundance in a Box works like this: when something wonderful occurs in your daily life, you write down the experience and add it to the box along with a monetary contribution, called a “joy deposit.” After you collect a specified number of joy deposits, you apply the money to a good deed of your choosing, such as donating to a charity, taking a friend out for lunch, or mowing a neighbour’s lawn. Tulsi-Ingram notes, “When you monetize an experience in this way, you extend the happiness of that moment. It’s an opportunity for you to ‘capture your good.’”
