About HI Physical Therapy/Body Balance HPT is a private practice outpatient physical therapy service corporation that provides specialty care, one on one, to patients from doctor referrals for: Sports and Otrhopaedic Rehabilitation, Spine, Extremity, and Tempomandibular, (TMJ) Injuries, Arthritic Conditions, Women After Breast Cancer Treatment, Work Conditioning Programs, Fall Prevention Programs, and Wellness and a complete golf, health and Fitness Programs. We have 2 Hawaii state licensed physical therapists that provide care to reach basic goals in rehabilitation or improved performance by enhancing one's ability to function within the environment and perform specific activities of daily living. Traditionally, rehabilitation and enhancement has focused on muscular strength, joint flexibility, and endurance without thought to neuromuscular mechanism. We see neuromuscular training a must to improve specific activities & get stronger for an activity. Our treatment techniques arre based on functional movement patterns and a SELECTIVE FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT ASSESSMENT. A lead for HPT is anyone who wants to relieve pain, improve or enhance mobility, stability, functional ability, movement potenial, and quality of life.
