Navigating “Class 5” Rapid Change!

There are few analogies that fit better for a long-term perspective of change in our industry than rafting in white- water. Some days it seems like we are floating along safe and secure taking in the scenery…and then we go around a corner to see massive churning waters and before anyone knows it, we’ve got people overboard grasping for a rope all the while we head into yet another rapid (change).

While we know there might be calm waters ahead, when we are amid the whitewater, we know there is only one way out — and that is through. In this captivating keynote explore the three most important tools you must deploy in times of rapid change: communication, communication and... communication.

Nick Anderson, a speaker known to be one of the best story tellers in the world, will share his experiences and lessons learned from times of dramatic change to educate participants on the most effective ways to communicate.

About Nick Anderson

Nick Anderson is the CEO of OneAccord, a Kirkland, WA, based consulting firm serving companies across North America. Anderson’s first book, Six-Word Lessons for Middle Managers was published in May 2022. His second and third books, focused on Executives, and Founders and Owners will be published in 2025. Nick became an entrepreneur following a 25-year career in financial services and a lifetime full of challenge and experience. His foundation in the industry was set early on, at the age of 17 as a bank teller, a role that introduced him to retail banking operations. He quickly moved into a leadership position managing the consumer banking division of a community bank, overseeing all branches and directly responsible for the division's financial performance, including underwriting and production of the bank’s consumer and small business portfolios, as well as managing the bank’s marketing team.

His career advanced as he took on the role of head of corporate payment solutions at a west-coast regional bank. There, he was tasked with managing commercial payment systems and technology for a range of clients from small businesses to large corporate entities. His responsibilities spanned 12 product lines, including merchant services, ACH, electronic deposit, commercial cash vault, and online banking, ensuring comprehensive financial solutions for the bank’s clients.

In a subsequent executive role as Senior Vice President and Commercial Team Lead, Anderson managed a significant portfolio that included assets under management of $500 million, catering to a client base of several hundred corporations.

Following 25 years in the banking sector, his expertise extended to acting as a CFO advisor to more than a dozen companies and as an expert witness in litigation contesting the taxation of inter-company transactions within a major nonprofit hospital system’s cash management platform. Anderson now serves as CEO of OneAccord, a national business consultancy focused on enterprise value creation through strategic planning, execution, and interim C-Suite support to companies across North America in a variety of sectors including Banking/Finance, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Agriculture, Technology, Professional Services, Construction and Trades, Manufacturing, and more.

As speaker, Nick has presented on topics including leadership, economics, banking & finance and nonprofit governance while also vulnerably sharing his personal story of growth and transformation. A two-time guest on television’s New Day Northwest, he has frequently represented the companies he has worked for as well as his own brands in the public arena. Nick specializes in crafting custom keynote messages that inspire and educate – often intertwining his own personal experiences of overcoming tragic loss and personal growth.
