LAST CALL FOR CONFERENCE REGISTRATIONS!
All registrations for the 2010 IEA Leadership conference in Honolulu, Hawaii must be received by Cheryl Samilio Meyer in Buffalo on or before September 15, 2010  to allow  enough time to prepare all of the copies, badges, goodie bags, etc. that will help make the conference a HUGE success.    Registration Form is available on the IEA website (www.ieaweb.com), and contains all necessary information.   If you have any questions, please send an e-mail to Cheryl at info@BuffaloEA.com or to Jack Schneider at jsch@lava.net.
**Making your hotel reservation does not register you for the conference.  The registration process is a separate issue that must be handled by you prior to arriving in Hawaii.

Several members have asked about the “Companion Fee.”   This fee is to be paid by any and all individuals traveling with you to the conference who intend to participate in any of the conference activities, including the dinner cruise.    Your guests may not attend the cruise without paying the fee, as this is a conference activity.   The fee covers the opening reception/registration, breakfast, lunch, transportation to dinner, and permits participation in any of the “companion activities” being planned by the host association.  These activities are arranged to keep our guests busy while we are busy learning and sharing during the conference.
See you on the Sand!

Who Should Attend?   Chapter Presidents, other Board Members. Classification Holders or Executive Directors

Agenda Summary:  Outside Speakers:
Opening Ceremonies Will include a welcome from US Congressman, Charles Djou &  Luncheon Keynote Speaker:   Wally Amos

Chapter News &  Congratulations:

Honolulu:
HEA member Manny Menendez sent this note (& picture): This is the picture of my July signing ceremony of a $98 Million USD Joint Venture Clean Coal Technology deal I just completed in China last week with the government of China through one of their State Owned Enterprises called Shanxi Coal Group and a private-government owned Engineering company called YZH. The joint venture is to build a greenfield facility in China that manufactures US equipment/machinery that Cleans Coal. Coal is China's primary energy source so cleaning it is very important to China and the world ! I will begin building the manufacturing facilities in October 2010.

From left to right is: Manny Menendez, Chairman and CEO of MCM Group Holdings Ltd. (and past President-HEA), Chairman Wang of Shanxi Coal and Chairman Li of YZH Engineering Co.
Manny finished his summer travels by  being the keynote speaker in Vladivistok,  Russia at the Asia Pacific Cities Organization Annual Tourism meeting.

Edmonton:
Congratulations to EEA Marketing Agency member, Jared Smith of Incite Marketing for being one of the sponsors (and main organizer) of the LinkPink Cycling for Breast Cancer event.  Local riders raised a minimum of $25G’s to ride thru the Rocky Mountains in Jasper, AB with Lance Armstrong & Phil Liggett. The event also featured a sold out (1,100 attendees) lunch with the Tour de France celebrities.  Over $1.2 Million was raised.  Three other EEA members (Kevin Birkholz (home builder), Stephen Petasky (vacation properties), Adam Sproule (greenhouse & landscaping) were among the 44 cyclists who completed the ride with Lance & Jared

Do You Remember WHY You Joined Syracuse Execs?  Let’s examine that question…

Most likely your primary reason was to develop an avenue to increase your business through networking with fellow members.  The principle of networking is one of the most inexpensive and efficient marketing tools known today…providing you follow the rules!  And just what are the rules?

 •           ATTENDANCE:  If you don’t attend meetings regularly, you can’t expect to get your share of leads!

 •           PARTICIPATION:  Taking an active role in ALL phases of SXA activities is one of the most effective methods to become known within the Association … whether it be a meeting, open house, social event, visitation or networking program!

 •           TRAINING MEMBERS:  Consider SXA another ‘sales arm’ for your business.  Each week you have the potential of over 80 “sales people” to sell your products and services!  Your only payment to your team of SXA “sales people” is reciprocity!

 •           PROMOTION:  The chance to promote your products and services through a Craft Talk comes around every eighteen to twenty-four months… take it!!

Thanks to Linda Bennett, SXA Director for reminding her members (& us) why we belong to an Executives Association...
